Elder Cindy Cain is a California native, born and raised on the Monterey Peninsula. Elder Cindy often shares that church is “all she knows” as her family’s church involvement, since her birth was pivotal in her own development.
A graduate of CSU Sacramento in 2000, Elder Cindy studied early childhood education with a focus on multicultural education. She later taught special education for several years before her career transitioned to what she knows is her calling “Helping vulnerable families in crisis” as a social worker in the bay area. After working within the foster care system in Oakland and Vallejo, Elder Cindy returned to Sacramento in 2007. Elder Cindy currently works as a Social Work Supervisor with the Children’s Law Center of California.

Elder Cindy has served within ministries in Oakland and Sacramento, and joined COP in 2007. Elder Cindy has served on the prayer and congregational care teams and currently serves as a Celebration Assistant and Online Facilitators.
Elder Cindy is an active servant to her community. She is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Jack and Jill of America, and serves as a member of the Sacramento Children’s Coalition. Elder Cindy’s greatest joy is being a mother to her 5 year old daughter, Noelle.
