Jeffrey Fletcher grew up on the South Side of Sacramento and graduated from Will C. Wood Jr. High and Luther Burbank High School. Growing up in Sacramento during the 1970’s was challenging but after graduation, Jeff attended California State University, Hayward, and then transferred to Howard University where he graduated with a BA. Jeff then returned to California and lived in Oakland where he attended and graduated from Hastings College of the Law.

Jeff practiced Criminal Law in Oakland for 12 years until he moved back to Sacramento and practiced for another 18 years. Jeff’s passion has always been pursing freedom and independence for African Americans. He is married to the amazing, incredible, highly intelligent and lover of Jesus, Chesarae Fletcher. They have raised their 8 children, and this year they will celebrate their 27th wedding anniversary.
