Cindy J. Cain is a seasoned leader, advocate, and minister with over 15 years of experience advancing equity and justice for children and families. She currently serves as Co-Director of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) at the Children’s Law Center of California, where she shapes policy, training, and organizational culture to improve outcomes in the foster care system.

Cindy began her career at CLC as a Social Work Investigator and later became Supervisor, mentoring diverse teams and leading initiatives for expectant and parenting youth. She has secured competitive grants, delivered statewide training, and contributed to policy reform efforts addressing child welfare and equity.
In addition to her professional work, Cindy serves as an Elder and Teacher Pastor at Center of Praise Ministries, where she mentors and uplifts through faith and service. A Sacramento State graduate, she is also a Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, and an active member of Jack and Jill of America and the NAACP.
